Dear friends, fellow campaigners, and colleagues,

I would like to share with you my assessment of the war against Iran.

Whatever our views on the regime there, this war is not only a crime, but also an act of enormous stupidity. I don’t know which of the two is worse.

The US-Israeli war and the thunderous applause of many of our politicians have something suicidal about them. While we are still in a war in Ukraine, which we are currently losing, we have plunged into a new war in Iran, which we will also lose. The US-Israeli “strategy” of overthrowing the government there through a decapitation strike, internal uprisings, and a military coup has already collapsed. Now they will criminally focus on destroying Iran from the air—because they have no other options. The intense air strikes on Tehran are just the beginning.

The economic, social, political, and moral consequences for us in Europe will be enormous—and not just at the gas stations. Not only that, but after losing two wars in and around Europe, the European Union will no longer be able to be what it claims to be.
